Welcome to my Project 365 Blog!

Hi all! I'm starting this blog to keep track of my efforts with Project 365 -the attempt to take a photograph every single day during the year. Thanks to my parents' Christmas generosity, I'll be using a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS (in a lovely bronze color, which clearly affects the picture quality). I'll be editing my photos with Photoshop Elements v7.0, a gift from my darling husband.

I may also post some digital scrapbooking layouts here - we'll see what happens. I'm excited to start this photography journey and to start being more intentional about remembering and tracking my every day life, which I guess is my biggest resolution of the year. Other resolutions include finally making that goal weight (less than 20 to go!), keeping the house more clean, and exercising more often. Some info on those might slip in here from time to time, but I anticipate this will primarily be photo and scrapbooking based.

Brian and I got some new furniture (side table and lamp) and he surprised me with this beautiful vase, called the Mykonos vase - which reminds us of our big trip to Greece this summer!

Brian and I went for a little walk yesterday because it was so beautiful and unseasonably warm. This is a view of Manhattan from near our house in Brooklyn.

Going backward is hard and I'm so sorry I was gone for a few weeks! I took a few here and there, so here's one from Jan 23. I had hurt my back and stayed home from work, so this is basically what my day consisted of - ice, heat, Xbox and TV!

Brian and I went to an amazing Kurt Elling concert tonight at the Lincoln Center Allen Room and this was the view behind the singer/orchestra. Nothing like a New York jazz club in Columbus Circle! As a note of interest, this is also where Brian proposed back in 2006. What a great date night!
